Welcome to the Higher Education Financial Wellness Alliance Coaching Experience (ACE). This one-on-one program for Alliance members matches those creating new financial wellness initiatives with coaches from established programs across the country. NOTE: The Alliance Coaching Experience is exclusively for Alliance members. Attendees of the 2019 HEFW Summit have active membership in the Alliance until January 2020.
ACE Mentees will:
Recognize the value of getting buy-in from institutional stakeholders for financial wellness programs.
Understand the different types of financial wellness programs as models for building, expanding, & managing your own.
Create marketing that can be used to increase program impact and educational outreach through a variety of communication channels.
Identify opportunities to build referral pathways and institutional partnerships to support financial wellness needs at your institution(s).
Research methods of assessment and evaluation to meet financial wellness objectives (increase financial knowledge, improve financial well-being, influence behavioral change, etc.)
Leverage best practices when training peer educators & interns to support financial wellness and program objectives at your institution(s).
Explore options and research for serving specialized populations (e.g., non-traditional students, veterans, students with disabilities, international students, etc.)
ACE Mentees have two assignments due each month: (1) a meeting with their Coach, and (2) an assignment to be completed in Canvas.
2019-2020 ACE Timeline
August 5, 2019: Applications open.
August 18, 2019: Applications close.
Late August 2019: Mentee/Coach matches announced.
September 15, 2019: First assignment due.
May 31, 2020: Final assignment due.
